Currently I am considering purchasing a 1994 Grand Am SE Sedan. I came
accross your site (while doing research on this vehicle), and I have found
it to be VERY helpful!! I do, however have one question for you. How can I
tell what type of engine is inside the vehicle I'm considering buying? I
noticed that most 6 cylinder GA's have a "3100 6-Cylinder" label ontop of
the engine. The one that I am looking at says "Quad OHC". I tried looking
for the spark plugs so that I'd know what type of engine it was, but I
wasn't able to get at them! If you could help me out by telling me what
type of engine is in this machine, I'd be OVERJOYED! Oh, and feel free to
let me know what your opinion is concerning purchasing a 1994 Grand Am SE
(sedan) that has 200,000 km!

Thanx for your time!

Nathan Doll

I'm seventeen years old and I just bought a 1994 Pontiac Grand Am about 3 weeks ago. About a week after I had the car the check oil light started coming on. I checked the oil and it was fine, I even added a little more. The light continued to come on. I brought it to a mechanic and they thought it was the oil sensor so I had it replaced. The light continued coming on. Do you have any idea what the problem may be or have you heard of this before? The mechanic said that it may be a malfunction in the display and that the entire dash display may have to be replaced. Do you have any ideas? I am also wondering about where I could find some cheap ground effects. I checked the ground effects out on your site and they are very expensive. I don't have too much money to be spending on it right now due to all the other modifications I want to make. When I am done with the car modifications would you like me to send you some pics?
Thanks for all your help,
Ryan

Thanks for all the help you've given me. I talked to a GM dealer today and they said that the problem was my oil level sensor. They said that after that is replaced my problem should be solved. Also, on your page you showed pictures of the interior of someone else's car (the one with the yellow trim). I tried emailing them to find out what it is that they did to get the vents and steering wheel to be yellow because I would like mine to be red. The email didn't go through. Do you know if that is the correct email address given on the page or do you yourself know how it is that they did the yellow trim? Thanks again for the help and time. Ryan
